A Nutrition Program Manager Action Contre la Faim (ACF)

We are looking for: A NUTRITION PROGRAM MANAGER

Country: Zimbabwe, Masvingo

Length of Contract: 8 months

Responsibilities:

- Program Management
- Responsible for the overall management of the program
- Responsible for budget, logistical, and activity planning, follow-up and management for the programs

- Reporting
- Responsible for the development/review, proofing of reports from the programs

- Program Monitoring & Technical Backstopping
- Responsible for follow-up of the Program’s M&E plan and activities
- Responsible for monitoring the technical quality of infrastructural works, and ensuring relevance of emergency operations and minimum interventions standards adhered to (e.g SPHERE)

- Team Capacity Building
- Responsible for the training and induction of new program staff, providing overall understanding and specific tools/knowledge for the implantation of the program
- Responsible for providing the national deputy project manager with intensive support and training to build their capacity and autonomy for project management. This involves identification of capacity gaps, developing training plans, and implementing/organising the training

- Human Resource Management
- Responsible for the direct line management of the deputy program manager, and responsible for all program staff.
- Responsible for recruitment, human resource planning, developing training plans, etc

- Local-level coordination with Authorities/NGOs

- Program Design & Development

Qualification and previous experience:
- Qualified/registered medical doctor, nurse or nutritionist
- Minimum of 5 years humanitarian experience in managing a similar sized nutrition/ health program (emergency and development context)
- High capacity programme manager (proven management experience)
- Able to work under stressful conditions, responsive, quick to react in emergencies, flexible regarding travel and stay in the field (Ability to live alone for weeks at a time)
- Good control of personal stress, and good diplomacy skills; Able to maintain good relations with local authorities and national staff
- Commitment to training and developing capacity of national staff
- Good organizational skills
- Previous Project management experience with ACF Nutrition a strong plus

Statut :

Volunteer status for applicants with less than 24 months of humanitarian experience
- Fixed-term contract of 1 year, renewable
- All expenses paid on the field: travel out/return, collective accommodation, meals and hygiene expenses
- €838 of indemnities per month on your bank account + Allowance of €200 per month paid on the mission
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
- Acquisition of 2.5 days of paid leaves per entirely worked month
- Recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission + break allowances
- Pre departure training of two weeks, at the HQ in Paris

Program Managers with at least 24 months of humanitarian experience, Coordinators and Heads of Mission
- Long-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French legislation.
- All expenses paid on the field: travel out/return, collective or individual accommodation depending on position, meals and hygiene expenses
- ACF will pay for the family living depending on position and mission
- Program Managers: Monthly salary ranging from €1500 to €1875 (depending on relevant experience)
- Allowance of €200 paid on the mission
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
- 25 days of annual paid leaves
- 20 days of extra leaves per year (taken as recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission) + break allowances
- Pre departure training of two weeks, at the HQ in Paris
