Job Description

ALS is a diversified analytical group, with a Mineral Laboratory in Edenvale. There is currently a vacancy within the Quality Control Department, which applicants are invited to apply for.

QC Technician

Qualification required: A minimum of a tertiary qualification in Analytical Chemistry (or a related field).

Work experience required: * A minimum of 1 year's experience in chemical analysis (AAS, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, XRF, or classical assaying techniques) * Knowledge of and experience in basic statistics * Preference will be given to candidates with previous QA.

General accountability: This successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing quality control data, technical problem-solving in conjunction with the Lab Managers and responding to clients' technical concerns.
