Job Title: Process Plant Senior Projects Engineer

Reports to: Process Maintenance Technical Services Superintendent

Location: Pueblo Viejo Mine Site, Dominican Republic

Position Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for the establishment and coordination of all project related initiatives and activities in the fixed plant area of the Pueblo Viejo Project. Also will ensure that all project based initiatives and requests are implemented as required through the advanced stages of construction and commissioning and eventually into the operation phase of the project.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1. Contribute to the development of the vision, mission and strategy for the Maintenance Technical Services group and assist the various superintendents in the fixed plant area as required to develop area specific project related engineering strategies.

2. In collaboration with the MTS team, develop the objectives and business plan for the Project Engineering group.

3. Plan, direct and coordinate activities of designates projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters and in accordance with the stakeholders expectations.

4. Establish and work within the budget for the project engineering group.

5. Participate in the implementation of the safety and training programs, including but not limited to the development of the Risk Management, SOP's, SMP's, workplace inspections, Task Observations and training programs that relate to the Project Engineering group.

6. Identify, recruit, mentor, train and supervise the Project Engineering staff.

7. Develop, implement and sustain systems and procedures to provide continuous improvement for the Project Engineering group.

8. Develop KPI's for monitoring the progress and performance of the Project Engineering group.

9. Prepare contributions to the month end reports as required for the MTS Superintendent.

Qualifications

Education

Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline, e.g. Maintenance Management and Reliability, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

At least 10 years or more as a qualified engineer.

At least 5 years or more in a senior engineering position in preferably a minerla processing plant or heavy industry.

Experience should demonstrate ability to safely and efficiently manage all various engineering disciplines covering electrical, mechanical, structural and civil activities in the maintenance of a complex mineral recovery process plant.

Experience in the maintenance of a pressure oxidation process plant would be highly regarded.
