American Embassy Voucher Examiner

The U.S. Embassy in Pretoria is seeking individuals for the position of Voucher Examiners in the Financial Management Office (FMO).

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications Required:

Items 1- 6 are ALL REQUIRED


1.
Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Three years of progressively responsible experience in voucher examining, accounting and related fiscal work is required.
3. English level IV (Fluent) reading/writing/speaking (This will be tested) is required.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting and voucher examining principles is required.
5. Must have basic typing skills for data entry and a good background in Microsoft excel spreadsheet program. Must possess excellent public relations
skills in order to deal efficiently and courteously with a wide variety of contractors/vendors and embassy staff is required.
6. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel 2007. (This will be tested)

Job Specification

Basic Function of Position:

The incumbents will be responsible for examining a variety of complex vouchers, invoices, contracts, lease agreements and requests for payment of goods and services received on behalf of all serviced agencies located at Embassy Pretoria and Consulates Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
