Join Novo Nordisk (30.000 empl.) and help us maintain the position as the world leader in diabetes care by making a difference within Category management.

Global Engineering Sourcing is one of three global and central sourcing units in Novo Nordisk and we are responsible for procurement and supplier management in complex world wide investment projects. Our annual spend in advanced production plants comprising state-of-the-art equipment and services is approximately DKK 3 bn.

We have an engaged and people focused culture and right now we offer an opportunity to join our very professional department and company.

Challenges
As Category Manager for Construction you are responsible for establishing and driving a new category. This includes managing our suppliers, contractors and sourcing activities in close corporation with the Engineering category.

You map and segment the contractors we use in Danish investment projects, monitor and evaluate their performance and ensure good supplier relations. You create a viable category strategy based on facts containing a clear rationale for the strategic approach when sourcing for construction projects.

Furthermore, you act as supplier owner according to relevant procedures and you are responsible for the commercial contracts as well as alignment with important stakeholders. Continuous improvement of our contract templates for AB92 and ABT93 is also one of your tasks – including supporting your colleagues in the use of these. Finally, you have the full commercial responsibility for sourcing of goods and services in several investment projects.

Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced candidate with intensive knowledge from the Danish construction industry or projects, ideally supported by international experience preferably from the pharmaceutical industry and/or from a global procurement environment.

Good understanding of AB92, ABT93, and also ABR89 applied standard contracts is important. FIDIC knowledge is considered an advantage.

The ideal candidate is energetic and has excellent people skills, a profound understanding of quality, high drive, willingness to change and focus on continuous improvement. Another key skill is the ability to build and maintain relations and trust throughout the organisation. Important qualities are great communication skills in English and profound IT skills. Relevant educational background could be an academic education within engineering or business.
