Department of Protein Science is seeking a mass spectrometry specialist for a position as senior scientist.

If you have a solid background in LC-MS and wish to employ your skills in a strong research organization focusing on identification and development of novel therapies within haemophilia, and inflammation you may be the candidate we are looking for.

The Protein Science department is part of the Biopharmaceuticals Research Unit in Måløv, Copenhagen, and currently includes ten scientists and twelve technicians highly skilled in different aspects of protein purification and characterization concerning primarily mass spectrometry and surface plasmon resonance. You will become part of a pleasant and cooperative working environment in the department, which will be your basis for working together with world class scientists from various parts of the research organization on different projects in our research portfolio.

Challenges
Your primary responsibility will be quantitative mass spectrometry of proteins and protein modifications in haemophilia projects spanning from the earliest discovery phase to projects close to transfer to our development organization. This will require development and implementation of novel methods for the analysis of proteins from both plasma and cell cultures, and calls for a high degree of initiative in the interaction with colleagues as well as in the laboratory.

Qualifications
You have solid hands-on experience with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry based protein quantification, and preferably you have experience with plasma proteomics or targeted quantification from plasma samples. It will be an advantage if you have been working with both high definition and triple quadrupole MS instruments. As a person you are proactive in your engagement with colleagues and at the same time capable of working independently. You should be qualified at PhD level, have post-degree experience, and a proven record of relevant research.
