Junior HR Advisor Cardno

The Human Resources team provides generalist HR consulting services and advice in all areas of Human Resources including recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development, workplace health and safety, and rehabilitation to the North-West Australia Region with of over 600 staff and rapidly growing.
In joining the team at this extremely exciting time, you will have the opportunity to make your mark in the development and streamlining of HR processes and initiatives within the North-West Australian region and also work on Global HR Programs.
In the short term you will utilise your superior administration and coordination skills to support the region in all areas of HR, including:
  • End to end recruitment
  • New starter administration, as well as other staff correspondence
  • Annual performance appraisal process
  • Comprehensive learning and development programs
  • Various employee engagement initiatives
Using this as a base, you will then step up with the support of the Senior HR Advisor to partner with the business on:
  • Performance management
  • Talent management
  • Employee relations
  • Policy and procedural advice
Your strong administration, multitasking abilities and people engagement skills will allow you to hit the ground running and play a significant role in the team. To be successful in this role, we are looking for a HR professional with the following:
  • Experience in a high volume and challenging environment
  • Tertiary HR qualifications
  • Ideally, two years’ experience in a HR generalist role within a corporate environment
  • Return to Work and Rehabilitation Qualification, highly regarded
  • Exposure to employee relations
  • Understanding of Modern Awards and Fair Work Australia Act
  • Articulate with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop a solid rapport with the business and work with them to manage conflict or difficult situations
  • Be considered and measured in their approach with sound judgement
  • Proactive and work on their own initiative to generate ideas to constantly improve the HR service
  • Discreet, professional and a good eye for detail
  • And importantly, a good sense of humour, empathy and work ethic!
