Mine Geologist Kangra Coal

Situated in the Piet Retief/Panbult area, ±65km from Piet Retief, Kangra Coal (Pty) Ltd is a modern, mechanised mine, producing 400 000 ROM tons per month from 5 mechanised, double shift sections. The following vacancy has arisen within this Colliery:

Mine Geologist

Requirements: • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geology, Mining Engineering or equivalent • Fluency in English and Spanish • Computer literacy • At least 8 years’ experience as a Geologist • Familiarity with related rules and regulations (eg mining laws, forestry, etc) • Ability to meet agreed timelines • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.

The incumbent will conduct coal mining project feasibilities and verify potential locations and reserves. In addition, he/she will report and update projects, status to the project team from Spain and make project presentations to the Senior Management from Spain.
