We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Waste Consultant to join our Environment & Planning team in our Perth office. This role reports to the Section Leader – Waste and remediation and presents a great opportunity for a motivated and capable consultant with strong client focus and capabilities to work in the waste management area.
The role:
  • Undertake research into specific project requirements relating to resource recovery and waste management;
  • Project management of large scale and complex waste management projects;
  • Extensive report writing and some technical reviewing skills;
  • Coordination, preparation and submission of proposals;
  • Attend project / client meetings;
  • Assist in providing mentoring role for junior staff members within the Waste area;
  • Proven capability to liaise with internal and external clients and deliver on their business needs;
  • Ability to promote the experience and capabilities of the Waste section and maintain relationships with existing clients.
The ideal candidate:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering is preferred; however an advanced degree in Environmental Science, or equivalent would be considered;
  • 8 - 10 years experience with previous consultancy experience being preferred;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; and
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating large-scale projects.
