Qualifications
- At least a master’s degree. A postgraduate qualification in management and educational management would be an added advantage.
- Proven work experience of at least five years in an institution of higher learning
- A practicing Christian, preferably an Anglican
- A person of high integrity and self driven
- A team leader
Job Description
- To provide professional leadership and guidance in the planning development and implementations of academic programs
- To ensure the achievement of academic excellence through admission of students with required entry qualifications and providing quality education
- To spearhead research and consultancy
- To coordinate curriculum development for all programmes and courses taught in consultation with Heads of Departments.
- To ensure that all students admitted have the required qualification for various courses
- To implement all academic policies and procedures approved by the council.
- To ensure safe custody of all documents and data relating to admissions.
- To oversee the preparation of time-tables for lectures in different departments
- To ensure timely preparations and setting of examinations, examination time-tables and conduct of examinations
- To ensure that examinations are set, marked and results released according to approved schedule. To ensure that there is no examination leakage or malpractice
- To coordinate the marking of examinations and making arrangements to have external examiners.
- To ensure that all results are approved by the senate before they are released.
- To maintain a data bank of all results for the students
- To provide secretarial services to the Board and its committees.
- To arrange for graduation ceremonies both for graduate and diploma students
- To appraise performance of Heads of Department and other staff in the department in consultation with human resource department
- Any other official responsibility or duties assigned by the supervisor
