SCAPR, the Societies' Council for the Collective Management of Performers' Rights, is the platform for the development of the practical cooperation between performers’ collective management organisations in order to improve the exchange of data and performers' rights payments across borders.

SCAPR is looking for a bilateral agreements coordinator.

Job description

Reporting to the General Secretary, the bilateral agreements coordinator will:

  • support and encourage SCAPR members in the negotiation and/or implementation of bilateral agreements;
  • report on the progress of bilateral agreements and cross border payments;
  • assist the various SCAPR Working Groups with the objective of coordinating their activities with regard to the implementation of bilateral agreements and the improvement of the efficiency of bilateral agreements;
  • assist the Board with other related duties and projects as assigned by the Board.

The position will require travel abroad.

Start date: October 2012
Location: Brussels
Term of contract: one year contract (with possibility of extension)

Profile

The candidate will have:

  • business experience in the area of copyright or neighbouring rights;
  • experience in some form in collective management of rights and the practical implementation of bilateral agreements;
  • have strong administrative skills;
  • excellent written and oral communication skills in English and at least one other language.
