Business Training Specialist/Program Manager
Banyan Global, an international development consulting firm, is recruiting a full time Business Training Specialist/Program Manager to support a range of projects that expand access to finance and strengthen business development services for private health care MSMEs in developing countries. The position is based in Washington, DC with travel abroad.
Responsibilities include designing and developing training in business and financial management for MSMEs and training to financial institutions in lending to MSMEs. The Business Training Specialist will conduct training of trainers, overseeing the development of local capacity to conduct training and manage and mentor local trainers in the roll-out of training. The Training Specialist will oversee the design of training programs and business development services, working with local partners to improve the delivery of training and advisory services on a sustainable basis. The Business Training Specialist will also be responsible for program management, overseeing several projects and local staff that expand access to finance for the private health sector in developing countries. The position also contributes to the development of Banyan Global’s health, financial services and enterprise development practices.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical experience in curriculum development and design, adult learning, training, business development services and access to finance, knowledge of USAID and proven consulting skills. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
· Master’s degree in education, economics, international development, business or related field.
· At least five years of experience in training, curriculum development and design, business development services and access to finance.
· Experience in financial institution and enterprise level technical assistance, training and curriculum development
· Health sector experience a plus
· Experience in development consulting
· Capacity to interact effectively with people from different cultures and work with governments, donor agencies and the private sector
· Experience working with USAID and managing USAID-funded projects
· Excellent communication and computer skills
· Professional proficiency in French preferred
