Enterprise Development Specialist
Banyan Global is an international development consulting firm that that operates seamlessly within four practice areas: inclusive financial services, enterprise development, gender and health sector development.
The Enterprise Development Specialist will provide technical inputs and program management support to a number of Banyan Global’s projects that work to support access to financing for MSMEs in developing countries. This is a full time, mid-level position based in Washington, DC with international travel.
Responsibilities include assisting in designing and providing technical assistance to international development programs. Technical work will include conducting research, assessments, managing the development and delivery of training and technical assistance to MSMEs, associations and other industry players, improving market linkages, strengthening business development services, and expanding access to finance for MSMEs. This position will also be responsible for program management and backstopping several projects and will contribute to new business development efforts.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years technical experience in enterprise development and/or financial services. Experience will be in business development services, business and entrepreneurship training and enterprise and private sector development. Field experience in international development is essential.
Further qualifications include:
  • Master’s degree in economics, international development or related field;
  • Experience with USAID
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a capacity to work effectively with peoples of different cultures;
  • Strong research, writing and training skills
  • Excellent communication and computer skills;
