PSI seeks entrepreneurial, dynamic candidates with significant technical expertise in management of HIV and sexual and reproductive health programming, social marketing and total market development for the position of Chief of Party for an integrated HIV prevention and family planning/ sexual and reproductive health program to scale up the provision of services in Zimbabwe. This position will be based in Harare, and reports to the Country Representative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide guidance and leadership to a talented and very dynamic implementation team across several health areas
• Provide overall oversight of the project and maintain effective and regular communication with implementing partners, Ministry of Health and Child Welfare and donors
• Serve as the donor's main point of contact on the program
• Responsible for overall achievement of program objectives and targets
• Offer guidance in development, implementation and management of evidence-based programming that is in line with organizational and international best practices, national health plans, and PSI strategic plans
• Ensure all Program Directors develop and implement project logframes and annual marketing plans and monitor their performance;
• Ensure Program Directors use research results to identify priorities and drive intervention strategies
• Help Program Directors set and achieve DALY targets and monitor their performance
• Contribute to the development of PSI Zimbabwe's strategic plans and lead regular performance analysis;
• Expand, monitor, and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and cost effectiveness and ensure best value for money
• Ensure the effective use and coordination of donor resources and the compliance of the financial systems and controls with relevant donor standards.
• Coordinate and/or review donor reports, including financial and other reports as required by donors and PSI
• Coordinate and share best practices and lessons learned documentation
• Develop and maintain strong external relations, in particular with government, donors, and public and private sector partners
• Assist the Country Director with other duties as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant graduate degree (MPH, MBA, MIA, etc.) or equivalent experience in related field
• In-depth knowledge of international development, HIV, reproductive health and family planning issues
• At least ten years experience in the implementation and management of international development projects
• At least eight years of experience in programmatic and financial management of large donor funded HIV and/or RH/FP programs
• Experience in social franchising, social marketing and/or behavioral change communications
• Exceptional managerial and operational experience, preferably managing complex programmes
• At least 4 years of experience managing a team in a developing country, preferably in sub-Saharan Africa
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of methodologies in research and marketing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast paced environment

The successful candidate will be a creative, innovative and strategic thinker, and will have excellent management, communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills; a strong interest in private sector approaches to development; and proven ability to produce results and take innovations to scale.

Preference will be given to candidates with an in depth understanding of PSI country platform contexts and operating realities.
