Assessment Assistant in Nairobi, Kenya

We seek qualified candidates for the position of Assessment Assistant in Nairobi, Kenya.

Position Description:

· Assist with the unit’s intake process and workload management by recording project information, monitoring schedules and generating reports

· Coordinate editorial calendars for writing and editing projects

· Maintain an updated database of all writing and editorial projects

· Assist with copy editing and fact checking as needed

· Assist with the process of engaging and reviewing bids from freelance vendors

· Receive and coordinate with appropriate staff incoming requests for copyrights and permissions to cite or reprint FHI 360 materials

· Assist with document layout and design using standard Adobe and Microsoft tools

· Contribute, through everyday actions, to an organizational culture of diversity, commitment to social change, high performance, continuous quality improvement and innovation

· Ability to travel domestically

Minimum Requirements:

University degree in any of the following: Education, Social Work, Sociology, Community Health, Public Health, Counseling Psychology with at least 3 years experience working with student assessment programmes or related work. Experience in teacher education will be an added advantage. Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and various statistical packages. Excellent writing, good organization and communication skills. Strong problem solving, team work, analytical and organizational skills with flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a heavy workload and multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a multi-cultural work environment.
