The Science, Technology and Industry (STI)’s work at the OECD contributes to the organisation’s mission in assisting member countries and other economies, including emerging economies, in a broad range of policy areas, including science and technology, innovation, biotechnology, nanotechnology, industry, steel and shipbuilding, information and communication technology, Internet economy and consumer protection.

We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual who will be a key member of the Senior Management Team of the Organisation. S/he will support the strategic orientations of the Secretary-General in the areas of work of STI, and will foster co-operation with other areas of the Organisation. S/he will coach other managers as they develop and deliver a complex programme of work.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the Directorate’s main policy areas through work at senior level in a national administration or international organisation. S/he will have strong leadership, excellent political skills and innovative strategic thinking.

This position requires fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English or French) and a good working knowledge of the other.
