Deputy Manager; Job Evaluation

DEPUTY MANAGER: JOB EVALUATION
Salary: R434 505 per annum (Level 11) (Ref. DM/JE2012)
Head Office (Pietermaritzburg)


Requirements: • An appropriate degree/National Diploma in Public Management/Administration plus a valid Certificate in Job Evaluation issued by DPSA or SAMDI, coupled with appropriate management and related experience • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and e-mail software • A valid driver’s licence.


Key performance areas: • Manage the job evaluation process for all departmental posts • Manage the development and implementation of job evaluation policies and procedures • Provide advice and guidance to line managers on the process and procedures of job evaluation • Manage the provision of information, statistics and reports • Manage the resources of the Sub-directorate.


Recommendations: • Knowledge of the relevant prescripts • Sound skills in communication, problem-solving, planning and organising • Good analytical ability.
