ETC Foundation MANAGING DIRECTOR

The organisation
ETC Foundation works worldwide supporting people centred development in rural and urban settings in the domains of sustainable agriculture and food security, energy and health. We assist governments, NGOs, development agencies and the private sector through capacity building, studies and advice. We initiate international thematic networks and facilitate change processes. ETC is the host organisation of a number of national and global programmes and network organisations. Examples are the Prolinnova programme, the International Network on Gender and Sustainable Energy (ENERGIA), the Energy for All partnership, and the Technical Training Programme.

In the Netherlands, ETC contributes to make and keep the Dutch countryside liveable. ETC supports citizens, farmers and the government with solving their problems and translating policy into practice. Examples of recent programmes and networks initiated and/or coordinated by ETC are Netwerk Platteland, Duurzaam Boer Blijven en Boerenkans. ETC employs 40 staff. For more information on ETC, reference is made to our website (www.etc-international.org).

International (development) cooperation is a dynamic and rapidly changing sector.
