FMO Planning & Control Officer

The Finance department is recruiting a new member for the Planning & Control team. Planning & Control is responsible for the (annual) planning and control cycles for FMO and the funds under management for the Dutch State. This entails being actively involved in the formulation of the strategy, the targets and the key performance indicators and consequently implementing and executing an appropriate performance measurement system.

Planning & Control is also responsible for regulatory reporting as prescribed by the Dutch Central Bank under the Basel standards. Recently new Basel III rules on capital and liquidity standards were issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Parallel to this, the Dutch Central Bank has introduced the Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) in order to supervise the liquidity risk control framework. Due to the increase in regulatory requirements and the further professionalization of the regulatory reporting process, Planning & Control is expanding its team with a new full time member. The team is currently made up of 5 members, including the manager. The other teams in the Finance department are: Accounting & Projects and Tax.

Key responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Planning & Control officer will be to fulfill the operational function in the Dutch Central Bank reporting process. The operational function focuses on the timeliness, completeness and correctness of reporting obligations to the Dutch Central Bank including the set up and completion of working instructions. In due time, the new officer will also become involved in the developmental / control function and will advise on the implementation of new reporting requirements.

Another responsibility will be to take part in the (annual) planning and control cycles which include cost budgeting, income forecasting and monitoring the realization of strategic targets. He or she cooperates intensively with team-members and liaisons with the Risk Management department, the Accounting & Projects team and ICT department. He or she reports to the Manager Planning & Control.

Relevant experience and education

Minimum of 2 years work experience in an administrative role

  • HBO/University level – economics, business or accounting major
