Gender Integration Specialist( Technical Officer III)

We seek qualified candidates for the position of Gender Integration Specialist in the Palestinian Territories.

Position Description:

FHI 360 is currently seeking a Gender Integration Specialist for an anticipated USAID-funded program in the West Bank to expand educational and leadership opportunities for youth in the West Bank by creating sustainable hubs for youth innovation and learning.

The Gender Integration Specialist will lead the design and implementation of activities to equip young women as leaders with employment, sports, and cultural opportunities and ensure their appropriate community integration. Responsibilities include contributions to the overall project design; ongoing conducting of gender assessments; leading focus groups discussions to understand the needs and interest of young women; partner and participant gender sensitivity, equity and inclusion training; liaising with advisory committees, clubs, resource centers, local NGOs; and contribute to content development for reports, communications, and media outputs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 years of relevant experience required. Bachelor degree in relevant field required or equivalent combination of education and work experience;
  • Experience in gender as it relates to integration, assessments, training, and promotion of gender-representative participation;
  • Experience in young women empowerment, leadership and community engagement;
  • Previous experience working with INGO;
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadline;
  • Fluency in English and Arabic with excellent oral and written communication skills, strong critical analysis and report writing skills;
  • Ability to travel within the West Bank and possibly Gaza.
