ROLE:

This temporary, nine-month position will provide administrative support for the Program Director, Latin American and Caribbean.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative: Assist other staff members with financial issues (expense reports, reimbursement claims, credit card statements); Assist with coordinating the translation and distribution of Crisis Group reports, and maintain the computerized distribution list; Assist staff members with appointments and organisation of field and/or advocacy trips; Assist in the organisation of events (report presentation, roundtables); Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating schedules of Crisis Group staff and board members visiting field offices in Latin America and the Caribbean; Other administrative support, as needed.

Research: Conduct background (desk) research for reports; Review Crisis Watch drafts; Organize & maintain electronic archive (press and other documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

1 year of relevant experience; Strong administration skills; Excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish; Proactive, well organized, and able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
