Job Purpose
To effectively manage the commercial relationship with specific third party suppliers to Heathrow, ensuring delivery of a continuously improving service by exploiting maximum value in terms of cost, quality and customer proposition.

Principal Accountabilities
- Accountable for contract relationship with Heathrow ground handling service providers/service partners in relation to cost, quality and service standards
- Ensures continuous improvement in services provided by service providers/service partners through robust management of contracts and benchmarking other industry providers. Manages contracts using Supplier Relationship Management principles demonstrating compliance to all elements of this framework
- Participates in the supplier review process, providing key contract feedback in terms of performance measurement, specification and customer in relation to future service contracts
- Responsible for working closely with Property, Procurement, Finance and & suppliers within an effective governance structure to optimise cost, service quality and continuous improvement
- Ensures procurement process is managed effectively, raising appropriate orders within own contract portfolio
- Defines all service standards for service providers/service partners working across operational areas in order to produce a workable service level standard to exploit maximum value in terms of cost and quality to deliver a continuously improving customer experience
- Works with suppliers to develop innovative solutions where appropriate to improve business performance
- Manages the performance of service providers/service partners to ensure that service levels meet contractual obligations
- Working in close partnership with local line management teams, ensures corrective action is taken to prevent or resolve service failure of suppliers/service providers
- Ensures future operational requirements are linked to capital spend in a timely manner, submitting business cases where appropriate
- Evaluates impact of new legislation on specific business area(s), recommending the appropriate response where required
- Inputs to the construction of the Finance Plan through timely submission of contractual cost projections whilst identifying associated risks and opportunities
- Ensures suppliers deliver a strong safety culture and has compliant and up to date training records
- Responsible for management information, financial tracking and agreed metrics and SLA’s
- Ensures compliance to legislative requirements

Essential Qualifications
- Ability to obatin & retain an airside pass
- Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent and/ or equivalent experience
Experience
- Experience of managing 3rd party supplier £Multi M contracts and of defining and managing service level agreements
- Audit experience, preferably financial or commercial audit
- Experience of commercial/contractual negotiations
- Able to think outside of the box and design and implement new initiatives
- Continuous improvement/ LEAN principles
- Able to manage ambiguity and self-starter
- Ability to manage change
- Strong experience of implementing compliance safety and continuity plans
- Able to demonstrate resilience under pressure where parameters of time, resources and demand fluctuate
