Managing Economist, Litigation Group
Nathan Associates is seeking a litigation economist to work on antitrust, breach of contract, class actions, employment, financial litigation, intellectual property, and general commercial litigation in federal and state courts. At times, managing economists may also work on business and industry consulting projects on behalf of companies, trade associations, and governments.
The primary responsibilities of the managing economist position are analysis of antitrust liability, estimation of damages, preparation of expert reports, and provision of expert testimony in depositions, court hearings, and trials. Supervision of junior and support staff is necessary, and participation in business development is expected.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or related field
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Training and experience in applied microeconomics and econometrics
- Antitrust or litigation experience a plus
- Five years of work experience preferred. Less experienced candidates trained in industrial organization, econometrics, or other applied microeconomic fields will be considered for the Senior Economist position.
