Design Engineer (Designer) - Japan

Sandvik has an opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team in Nagoya Japan, where you will be part of an engineering team that is responsible for development of new parts for the metal cutting Industry.
This role will also have a predominant role to lead in design, and manufacturing teams, along with technical support, warranties and customer feedback.
Key performance areas
  • Design engineered product accordance with customer's request and offer the superior solution than expected
  • Driving member of design teams using Unigraphics NX CAD program to design and develop new products.
  • Complete project work as required from inception through to release.
  • Supervises the field testing of new and modified products when required on agreed mine sites.
  • Assist with or completes product inspections and supplier audits as required.
  • Assist with sales support and technical documentation.
Your profile
You must be a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer.
Designing Experience with 2D CAD and3D CAD (NX-UG)system is required.
Your interpersonal communication and time management skills are highly developed. You will be equally comfortable dealing with customers at a senior engineering level and working in the field with operational personnel. Your attention to detail and analytical skills are strong, and you must be flexible to travel within the region and overseas.
You will require experience/knowledge with:
  • Designing or Field support experience of Metal cutting products and process at least for 3 to 5 years.
  • Designing with 3D CAD(NX-UG) system is essential
  • Cutting Tools and Applications dealing experiences required
  • Fluency in English required and Japanese languageskill preferable
  • NX-UG3D-CAD)を使用した切削工具設計ないしは工業製品設計の経験3年以上必須
