Research Uptake Officer

Contract: 2 years
Salary: £26,000-£29,000

Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Research Update Officer to join our team in London. This position is intended to help implement an organisation-wide project to improve uptake of research findings generated from Malaria Consortium research studies, and alongside this, will provide direct support to two research projects, conducting, planning and coordinating activities for research uptake.
The successful candidate will have:
• Masters’ degree or equivalent in public health, communications, political science, international development, sociology, economics or a related field
• Significant experience in research, advocacy or policy formulation, particularly with audiences such as government officials, development partners or health organisations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of public health policy in developing countries
• Experience of working across multiple country contexts (multi-country programmes)
• Ability to coach and supervise staff and act as a good team player.
• Skills and ability to motivate, manage and influence others are critical.
• Evidence of good judgement and outstanding analytical, strategic and creative thinking.
• Good numerical data analysis skills
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
