Campaigns Officer
Electus is working with a leading membership organisation in the health sector to procure a Campaigns Officer to join their team. The post holder will develop public affairs campaigns that influence policy and will lead on stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute high-profile campaigns that influence the policy agenda;
- Communicate key campaign messages through a full range of communications channels including social media;
- Work closely with the press team to ensure the organisation’s key messages are promoted;
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategy with key decision makers and opinion formers;
- Communicate campaign developments and successes to members;
- Monitor political developments in Parliament, Westminster and Whitehall and identify opportunities to engage;
- Prepare briefings for senior members of staff;
- Plan and deliver party conference activity, seminars, roundtables and events;
- Represent the organisation at external events.
Experience and Profile of the Post holder:
- Proven track record of delivering effective campaigns;
- Excellent knowledge of the UK political system’s processes and legislatures;
- Demonstrable track record of engaging with decision makers and opinion formers;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Interest and understanding of the issues the UK health care system faces;
- Ability to manage multiple projects, strong team player, and willing to deliver.
