Design Engineer – E3 Hydraulics
Location: Bangalore, India
The Role
The purpose of the job is design hydraulic circuits and circuit drawings,
Creation of various types of hydraulic symbols, components, sub-circuits and logic for Global Use,
BOM for hydraulic assemblies and sub systems in Teamcenter, to configure the E3 database library and interface between Teamcenter.
Will create different kind of reports which can be useful for sourcing, assembly centre from E3 tool.
Install E3 set up & configure in the systems.
Creation of schematic & layout by E3 for various PDCs within Sandvik Mining in Current Product Engineering, New product Development Engineering and Order based Engineering activities through the UGCM.
Key Performance Areas:
  • Sound knowledge of Hydraulic fluids, components, Selection criteria, Significance of its characteristics and parameters.
  • Responsible for design / create of hydraulic components, circuits, selection of components and sub systems in E3.
  • Candidate should have good hands on experience in E3-Hydraulics.
  • Will create different kind of design reports like bill of material, device list from E3 tool.
  • Will co-ordinate on E3 work with other E3 users and key users
  • Will generate concept models and drawings to test component logic..
  • Provide support and mentoring to junior staff members.
  • Maintain high standard of personal safety in the workplace.
Your Profile:
2 – 4 years of electrical design. Experience of mining equipment.
Sound knowledge of AutoCAD, E3 and PLM-system are must & along with Unigraphics experience, Teamcenter knowledge is preferable

  • Hydraulic Engineering : Level 3 (Uses skills, demonstrates behaviors)
    • Describes hydraulic systems in specific application areas
    • Works with hydraulic component suppliers
    • Designs the hydraulic system of a complete machine, including sizing of components
    • Troubleshoots hydraulic systems in own application area.
  • Machine Design : Level 2 (Basic Understanding)
    • Summarizes all the steps for developing a new product
    • Describes the basic tools used for design & development
    • Describes basic machine mechanisms & their applications
    • Identifies current & prior design & development successes & failures in own organization
  • Mechanical Engineering : Level 2 (Basic Understanding)
    • Describes mechanical engineering & its instruments/methods/processes
    • Evaluates & uses suitable methods/manuals/instructions for processes within mechanical engineering & documents results in technical reports.
    • Interacts with others, within own team, in matters regarding mechanical engineering
    • Works independently according to defined processes/instruction within one or more mechanical engineering disciplines and takes responsibility for own professional development.
  • Should be well accounted International standards (ISO), IEC and ANSI for symbols, devices and components.
  • Should have very good understanding on hydraulic component symbols and can logically combine them whenever required.
  • Should have knowledge of relevant international hydraulic standards.
  • Should have knowledge of ISO drafting standards for hydraulic circuits.
  • Should have basic knowledge of electro-hydraulic interfaces and systems.
  • Should have exposure to E3-Hydaulics tool, Unigraphics, Teamcenter integrated environment.
  • Fair understanding on working principle for various hydraulic components like Valves, Manifolds, Cylinders, Motors, Pumps, Accumulators etc.
  • Good communication skill & Interpersonal Skills.
