The Business Information Office (BIO) at Sandvik Mining has a global responsibility to ensure that Sandvik Mining and Sandvik Construction have the Information Technology support that fulfills the business needs and to control IT spend. Our mission is to support the business with solutions to improve business process execution.
We are now looking for an Application Manager for ERP systems.
Job Summary
As Application Manager, you improve the management of ERP Systems from an owner's perspective, ensuring that Sandvik Mining is a professional buyer of such systems. This leads to better cost control and ensures that the system requirements and deliveries are in accordance with business needs. You work in close collaboration with business process owners and other stakeholders, mainly internally but to some extent externally.
Your main responsibilities in this position are:
  • Managing ERP systems in terms of SLA fulfillment, cost level, cost distribution and Life Cycle planning
  • Supporting all ERP related projects at handover to SLAs, locally as well as globally
  • Advising on the practices and considerations for upgrading existing contracts and solving complex contract management problems from a demand perspective, based on Swedish legislation
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation is kept up-to-date
  • Establishing good relations with Sandvik IT GSS in order to improve IT Delivery through SLA
  • Working towards standardization, consolidation and simplification at the SLA Level
  • Collaborating with other business areas' BIO Offices in order to seek synergies
  • Challenging the Sandvik IT GSS Delivery Model, when it is not fit-for-purpose
Depending on your global network in this position, some travel may be needed.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge obtained through solid work experience. You have at least three years’ experience from managing ERP systems from a buyer’s perspective, including SLA work, and from contract management practices based on Swedish legislation. Also, you have experience conducting cost and benefit analyses and managing ERP systems, in terms of SLA fulfillment, cost level, cost distribution and Life Cycle planning. You have good skills in English, both verbally and in writing; knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
