Design Engineer – Load & Haul

Location: Bangalore, India

The Role

The position contributes to the organization with experience and knowledge on an operational level by using suitable methods, tools and processes. Contributes to the department/function results by own work and by sharing best practices. Designs tools and equipment for manufacture from concept through to productisation. Uses mechanical engineering methods and tools to create new products as well as improve existing products requested by Product Line and other departments

Key Performance Areas:

·Describes applicable mechanical engineering and technical area and its instruments/methods/processes.

·Reviews and recommends improvements of working methods/manuals/instructions for processes within mechanical engineering.

·Interacts with others, also outside own team, in matters regarding mechanical engineering.

·Expands the knowledge base within mechanical engineering.

·Describes main customer operational factors driving own product design.

·Describes the main manufacturing process and the main manufacturing cost drivers for our products.

·Applies tools and techniques for converting product requirements into a machine design.

·Produces concepts for machine design changes within own product area

·Providing Engineering support to other departments in a timely fashion

·Supports local and Global requests for design changes and new productenquiries

Your Profile:

Proven theoretical and practical foundation within the job area; typically >2 years.

2-3 years' experience using Nx 3d design software for modelling and drafting

Experience with mechanical design of mobile / Heavy earth moving / Load & Haul equipments
