Strategic Engagement Manager
Electus is working with a leading organisation within the technology industry to procure a Strategic Engagement Manager. Our client has a track record of successful engagement activities, and they are now looking for a self-starter with a track record of building strong relationships to drive forward their public sector strategic market engagement activities.
Working with industry leaders in technology, the post-holder will build and nurture relationships to provide a pipeline of market engagement opportunities, becoming a thought leader on early market engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and identify opportunities for market engagement;
- Engage with relevant stakeholders in government departments and industry to gain a holistic view of the challenges the tech industry faces;
- Ensure engagement tools are up-to-date and can meet market needs;
- Monitor relevant developments in the public sector tech market and wider political landscape to help identify opportunities for future engagement;
- Develop thought leadership on the importance of early market engagement;
- Support and contribute to policy around commercial issues, procurement reform and effective market engagement.
The candidate will have:
- The ability to work with a diverse range of senior external stakeholders;
- Excellent knowledge of technology and the tech industry;
- Strong understanding of the structure of the UK Government, HMG procurement strategies, structures and stakeholders;
- Ability to identify, propose and negotiate new opportunities and services;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail.
