Vacancy: Business Line Manager: Rock Tools – West Africa
Description:
You will be responsible for the effective drive of profitable sales of Sandvik Rock Tools offering in close collaboration with Service and Equipment Business Lines within West Africa. This includes, but not limited to identifying opportunities to sell Sandvik’s total offering and offer customertraining. In addition you will also play a supportive role to business development in the Region, supporting the Rock Tools Sales function as well as Product Line Management functions. The position is based in Accra, Ghana, but would require significant travel within the sub-region
Key Performance Areas:
  • As BLM: Rock Tools, you will report directly to the Sales Area Manager and ensure overall business performance of all Rock Tools activities within the Sales Area. Specifically, you would be required to:
    • Create and execute Customer testing to develop sales opportunities
    • Lead Sales Management (planning, selling and follow up)
    • Conduct Competitor Analysis and identify/implement needed actions
    • Manage Contract Development to Contract Signature in conjunction with Account Management
    • Recruit, Retain and Develop sales team (TSSR) including Succession Planning
    • Identify, Analyze and Drive resolution of customer issues with Account Management
    • Rock Tools Planning and Order Management
    • Ensure EHS Compliance, Revenue/Market Share Growth, Inventory Performance and Order fill rate
Your profile:
You should be a results-oriented individual with relevant Consultative and Analytical skills. A Degree-qualified Engineer or must possess appropriate Trade background with equivalent Technical experience. Post Graduate Qualifications in Business is required. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar Senior Management role is preferred. Exposure to international markets along with strong cross-cultural awareness, particularly in remote challenging environments, is desirable. French language skills would be highly regarded. Competency in LEANSix Sigma methodology will be added advantage.
This role will require significant travel around the West African Region, away from your base for up to 50% of the time. This is a residential role based in Accra, Ghana.
