Can you help DFID to rise to the challenge of reducing world poverty? DFIDis launching a 3rd round of the DFID Entry Scheme for Advisers (DESA). This is a great opportunity to join DFID and progress a career in development as a DFID adviser.
The scheme enables DFID to recruit and develop the right people and offer them the opportunity to develop into effective DFID advisers in their chosen field of expertise. The 3 year DESA programme combines development placements in DFID offices in the UK and overseas with coaching and other structured learning. UK placements will be in either our London Headquarters in Whitehall or Scottish Headquarters in Abercrombie House, East Kilbride, near Glasgow. If successful you will be expected to take up your UK placement in either location as determined by DFID. DESA providesDFID with a pipeline of people with the right mix of operational experience and policy competence to function effectively in a range of exciting and challenging roles as specialist advisers on international development.
Places are available in the following professional groups in this 3rd round: Evaluation, Governance, Humanitarian, Infrastructure, Livelihoods, Private Sector Development and Social Development
