Chief of Party, Tuberculosis Prevention Project

Chief of Party: Project HOPE is recruiting a Chief of Party for a Tuberculosis Prevention Project in Georgia. The project is a four-year, $4.5M USAID-funded project, expected to start in April 2011. The focus of the project will be to provide training and increase awareness of general medical practitioners to recognize the symptoms of TB in order to limit the spread of the disease through earlier detection of TB cases; to provide technical training and monitoring of DOTS clinics across the country; and to physically rehabilitate select TB outpatient clinics nationwide.
The Chief of Party will be responsible for all programmatic, administrative and financial aspect of the project including: program development, coordination and implementation, strategic planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation, and overall project leadership. The position requires a strong background in implementing TB Control and Management Programs.

She/he will supervise all project team members and collaborate closely with USAID, the Government of Georgia, the National Center for TB and Lung Disease and other stakeholders. Key qualifications for the position include a Masters or advanced degree in public health or TB medicine and a minimum of 10 years work experience managing large-scale public health programs, preferably in TB. The position will be based in Tbilisi and will report to the Senior Vice President of Global Health at Project HOPE headquarters in Millwood, VA.
