The Publications Section of our Communications and Public Affairs Division produces around fifty to seventy titles each year, aimed at distributing knowledge, expertise and best practices within and beyond Commonwealth countries.

Responsible for our publishing and sales strategy and in sole charge of the section, its team and its budget, your goal will be to maximise revenue and build a self-financing operation. Managing a demanding year-round schedule of proposals and manuscripts, you will oversee hundreds of outsourced contracts for editing, design, marketing and distribution, which will involve some overseas travel.

With at least a first degree, you must have significant experience in publishing including book marketing and editing. You must have worked at senior level in a commercial printing house specialising in educational books, or in an international organisation, university press, major research institute or similar.

You must be able to operate effectively in our multi-cultural setting and be a national of a Commonwealth country.
