USAID TASC IV IQC Managing Director (Middle East/Asia)
Throughout our 25-year history, International Medical Corps has worked in more than 50 countries in the most challenging emergency, post-conflict, and development environments. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps them transition to self-reliance. International Medical Corps is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Director interested in spearheading the International Medical Corps Consortium under the TASC IV IQC mechanism.
The IQC Director is expected to provide vision, direction, and leadership in a wide range of technical areas that span the Middle East and Asia. The IQC Director will be responsible for responding to task order proposal requests, central reporting, and central meetings with the USAID Global Health CTO. S/he should have at least 10 years in-country experience in the field of health care delivery in developing countries with emphasis on primary health care services; which must include experience in the areas of family planning, maternal and neonatal health, HIV/AIDS, child health and survival, infectious diseases, and health systems strengthening.
Requirements
• An advanced degree is required in public health or a related area (e.g. economics, sociology, anthropology, etc, with a health concentration)
• 15+ years of demonstrated international development experience, with a focus in primary health care
• 10+ years of international project management experience, with strong financial and personnel management expertise
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with local governments and international agencies
• Solid experience working managing large task order based contracts
• Prior successful experience managing USAID funded projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in English is required
