We seek qualified candidates for the following positions:

Senior Regulatory and Quality Assurance Associate
Location: Nairobi
Ref. No. FHI-Sr. RA-QA-NBI

Provide leadership and oversight regulatory affairs and quality assurance for RAQA activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation and follow-up of FHI’s Regulatory and Quality Assurance Projects (e.g., Compile and disseminate appropriate regulatory guidelines, etc.) to ensure compliance with Good X Practices and other applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensures that Pharmacovigilance activities are properly implemented.
  • Assist Director in development, management and implementation of quality assurance strategies and initiatives.
  • Contribute to resource development efforts, including participation in proposal development.
  • Management of regulatory projects.
  • Provide RA/QA technical assistance, support and training to direct reports (if required) and other divisions/departments or project teams as appropriate.
Position Requirements:
  • MS/MA in relevant field with 5-7 years of relevant experience or BS/BA in relevant field with 7-9 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of RA/QA, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory, relevant computer software and statistical skills.
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Eldoret

Responsible for APHIA field office program data collection management activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of project data bases in the field office.
  • Assist in the coordination of monitoring and evaluation activities of the APHIA plus Rift Valley at district level, focusing specifically on capacity building of partners on systems for collecting data for measuring project implementation.
  • Under M&E Specialist’s guidance, offer technical assistance to implementing partners to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans.
  • Provide logistical support to ensure constant availability and technical support to ensure use of approved standardized tools by facilities and implementing partners, in accordance with guidelines stipulated by USAID and GOK.
  • Ensure implementing partners understand the project indicators, have a functional system for collecting, analysis and synthesis of monitoring data.
  • Offer technical support on reporting tools, data management processes, analysis and interpretation of indicators to implementing partners to meet program requirements.
  • Train facilities and implementing partners on reporting requirements, indicator definitions and use of data tools.
Position Requirements:
  • MS/MA/MPH in relevant field with 3-5 years relevant experience or BS/BA in relevant field with at least 5-7 years experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, including advanced skills in at least two of the following programs: SPSS, Excel, Stata, and Ms Access.
  • Demonstrated experience with Health Management Information Systems and ability to transfer knowledge through informal and formal training
Finance Assistant
Location: Nairobi

The Finance Assistants will provide a variety of clerical and administrative duties for the assigned unit (s) division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and maintain files.
  • Provide support in assisting with standard monthly reporting/budgets data entry.
  • Ensure appropriate attachments as cited in contract documents are available when required.
  • Provide administrative support within the division as needed.
Position Requirements:
  • At least CPA Part 1 or II. Minimum 3-5 years of progressive working experience in similar environment with adequate exposure to project accounting, financial management including budgeting, grants and contracts.
  • Understanding of finance records reconciliations.
  • Must have demonstrable hands-on experience with an accounting system.
  • Experience working with an international organization and a University degree in Commerce or Business Accounting or CPA (K) will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite.
