Infield Decoder Support Engineer
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
Minimum 5 years set-top box development and support experience
Thorough knowledge of decoders and peripherals, home networking and interconnectivity
Understanding of consumer electronics and home networking trends
Pay TV industry, specifically MCA broadcasting, broadcast infrastructure & value chain
PC literacy: at least mid-level competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Production of research and recommendations documents
Applicable Regulatory knowledge
Ability to work under pressure

Technical support of infield Next Generation and other decoders
Specification of infield decoder product enhancements (stability and feature enhancements)
on infield decoders
Troubleshooting of infield issues reported on decoders
Manage relationships with decoder hardware and software vendors
Executive information maintenance on infield decoders
Supply direction and be central point of liaison with Field Services
Consulting role to Product Management, Quality Assurance, and System Integration teams
Provide input to the Next Generation decoder strategic roadmap
End of decoder product life management
