Grant Acquisition Manager

Generate the income to transform the futures of the world’s poor.

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 (depending on experience) + benefits

Based in Milton Keynes or London, with significant international travel

World Vision works tirelessly to combat poverty and its causes, particularly affecting children. Whether we’re empowering people in developing communities to support one another, linking donors to those in need or creating networks to campaign for justice, we’re taking huge steps towards our goal of transforming the lives of eight million children by 2015.

You will make sure we have the funding we need to succeed as you drive forward our ambitious income generation programme. Specifically, we will look to you to:

  • ·Increase income from governments and multilateral organisations to £30 million by 2015.
  • ·Focus on building relationships with the DFID and the EC.
  • ·Work with national office partners to strengthen their fundraising and project delivery capabilities.
  • ·Lead a newly created, globally dispersed team of four Programme Grant Officers.

This is an exceptionally high profile and worthwhile challenge, so we’re looking for the very best. To join us, you should be:

  • ·Experienced in raising funds from institutional donors, including the DFID and the EC.
  • ·Proactive and innovative, with everything it takes to manage and motivate colleagues.
  • ·Skilled in building productive relationships with some very influential stakeholders.
  • ·Ready to work cross-organisationally with people of different cultures within a professional and Christian environment.
