Brief description: The role of evaluation advisers is to promote DFID’s embedding evaluation and evidence agenda.

The role of evaluation advisers is to promote DFID’s embedding evaluation and evidence agenda by:

stimulating demand for and effective use of evaluation
advising on the evaluation plans for their office/department and individual development interventions, and commissioning evaluation work as appropriate
leading and managing their office/department’s programme of evaluation work, ensuring relevance to and influence on DFID’s policy and programming
upholding DFID’s evaluation standards and quality
helping with understanding of existing evidence base and ensuring new studies fit with this and are fed into wider evidence base.

DFID has current, or anticipated, evaluation vacancies in a range of country programmes which includes the following A2 positions.

There may also be one or two openings in London or East Kilbride based policy teams.
