Chief, Procurement Operations Service (D1)

The United Nations Secretariat is looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief for its Procurement Operations Service at Headquarters in New York.

The Chief of Service reviews, negotiates and approves proposals to award complex and high value contracts on behalf of the Organization, develops procurement strategies to ensure a competitive, fair and transparent procurement, and provides recommendations on procurement policy and procedures as well as leads and directs procurement teams.

Education: Advanced university degree in public administration, business administration, engineering, law or related area.

Work Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or related field, of which at least 7 years at the international level.
