HE Finance Advisor University of Hull - Directors Office

Changes to tuition fees and financial support available for learners entering higher education have brought an urgent need for accurate information, advice and guidance for learners from all backgrounds currently studying towards GCSEs and A levels (and equivalent level qualifications). This new fixed term post aims to provide up to date support to learners and their parents/carers, as well as to academic staff in schools, academies, colleges, work based learning providers and the University itself.

The role requires frequent and extensive travel in an area bounded by Whitby, Selby and Cleethorpes to meet these needs, although the post will be based on the University’s Hull campus.

Substantial experience of delivering information and advice, presentations and workshops to large and smaller groups of learners, parents and staff across the education sector is required, as well as 1:1 guidance sessions with potential higher education students. The selection panel will also seek confidence that the successful candidate possesses the professionalism, expertise, knowledge and other competencies required to be immediately effective in the role.
