Duties: The successful applicant will join a team of Subject Librarians responsible for a cluster of subjects; and will be expected to: (i) provide a full range of information support in an automated library environment; including collection development and evaluation; (ii) liaise with academic staff and students to determine information needs and to develop resources and services responsive to their needs (iii) Participate in delivery of GEC/ILS programme; (iv) develop interactive teaching modules for databases, subject bibliographies and web sites in the field assigned (v) Provide evening and weekend reference services on a rota basis. Requirements: Hold a Masters degree in Library and Information Studies or its equivalent plus a Bachelor’s degree in any subject. Competencies: Have experience in the delivery of reference services, collection development, teaching information literacy skills and faculty liaison. Good communication skills (oral and written) interpersonal skills and good organizational skills. Ability to work in teams and must have initiative. Sound knowledge in the exploitation of electronic resources preferred.
