This is an exciting opportunity to join the International Programs Division within The Foundation and contribute to the growth of an international development organisation that focuses on blindness prevention and Australian Indigenous health.

This position will be based in the Sydney office with some international travel. The position is responsible for the coordination of The Foundation’s programs in Bangladesh and Nepal.


Selection criteria: Demonstrated extensive work experience in an international development setting in the area of public health – experience in eye health programming highly desirable. Good understanding of the public health system in the relevant program countries. Strong conceptual and analytical skills to be able to develop new initiatives, identify critical issues, build capacity and standardise processes. Demonstrated track record in program cycle management including operational planning, implementation, budget management, monitoring and evaluation. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a wide variety of diverse relationships utilising collaborative consultation, communication and negotiation skills. Strong writing skills and a track record in producing high quality written plans, project proposals and reports. Confident presentation and public speaking skills.
