Executive Director
Reporting to the Directors of the Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board through the Co-Chairs, the Executive Director supports the activities and mandate of the Workforce Development Board and is responsible for the administration, management and supervision of the day-to-day business of the Workforce Development Board, as well as co-ordinating community outreach activities.
Organizational, time management, problem solving and critical thinkings skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership, presentation and facilitation skills. Project Management Experience. Strategic Planning skills. Budgeting and Financial Management. Knowledge of Government Programs and Services. Knowledge of the labour market, training and education environment in Simcoe County and Muskoka. Extensive Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access). Understanding of access and equity issues.
Degree in Business Administration, Economic Development and Social Science or related fields. Extensive experience working for a volunteer board and in the community. Management experience. Bilingual capabilities (English/French), Web site maintenance, Demonstated knowledge of various internet communication tools and resources an asset.
Permanent full time, dependent upon continued funding.
Flexible, based on a 35 hour work week. Irregular hours, evenings and weekends will be required. Travel throughout Simcoe County and Muskoka.
