Community Partnerships Co-ordinator

Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce, a non-profit, Christian housing organization, builds affordable homes with low-income families who currently live in substandard housing. Since 1987, we have built 25 homes throughout Grey and Bruce counties.

We are currently accepting applications for a full time Community Partnerships Co-ordinator who is passionate about our mission and is able to work independently and within a team (team work is a must!)

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Community Partnerships Co-ordinator is responsible for creatively telling the Habitat story with the goal of establishing strong partnerships with corporations, small businesses, churches, individuals and organizations throughout Grey and Bruce counties who resonant with the mandate of Habitat. These partnerships are critical for ensuring Habitat Grey Bruce has the needed resources to be able to build decent, safe and affordable homes for families in need.

Qualifications Required:

· Post secondary education with a focus on Resource Development, Marketing and Public Relations or equivalent

· Minimum 5 years experience in a middle management role on a capital campaign or fundraising initiative with a proven track record of developing community partnerships, soliciting and closing major gifts and sponsorships

· Superior speaking skills; capable of making public presentations

· Strong written skills

· Ability to leverage social networking

· Ability to adapt to a changing environment and unexpected shifts in priorities

· Strong computer skills with experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Experience working (employed or volunteer) with a non-profit organization preferred
