Salary: From £24,000 depending on experience.
Other benefits: Accommodation, return flight and insurance, rest and recuperation. The Social Work Capacity Development Project Manager will have access to transport for work related activities, and, where possible, for personal use out of work.
Contract term: 12 months with possibility of extension
Children in Crisis has been working on education and children protection projects to improve the well-being of children in Afghanistan for fourteen years. We have an established office of around 60 project staff headed by an Afghan Country Director.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to work within our Afghan Country Office to oversee all aspects of the Social Work Capacity Development Project. This project works to build the capacity of the Government of Afghanistan in child protection to meet the needs of three specific groups of children: Children in Conflict with the Law, Children in Institutions and Vulnerable Children within Families.
You will lead Children in Crisis' team of local social work professionals in a new phase of this project overseeing all aspects of project management. You will provide both organisational development and social work technical guidance on training materials to the project team and be responsible for linking, where relevant, training and learning opportunities between departments in the field of child protection.
In addition to working directly with the project team, you will contribute to looking to develop new opportunities to broaden CiC's work in child protection outside our existing portfolio.
