Regional Finance Officer Based in Bangkok, Thailand

The role Integral to Oxfam successfully achieving its objectives is the accuracy and integrity of the financial data recorded in its Management Information Systems. As the Regional Finance Officer, you would be tasked with processing and recording of financial transactions in an appropriate and transparent way for the Asia Regional office. In order to achieve this, you would be responsible for the processing of invoices and expenses payments, monitoring and maintaining cash balance, recording to the Peoplesoft system, monthly reconciliation and generating regional management reports in compliance with Oxfam’s and statutory requirements. You will also support the regional budgeting process and any development of improved financial procedures across the region.
Furthermore you would be the main contact point for all Asia regional centre statutory and regulatory requirements and would be supporting Regional Finance Manager in communicating these requirements to ensure that Oxfam is fully compliant with all external regulations. You would report to the Regional Finance Manager, and would collaborate with other regional staff in the Asia regional centre, region and Oxford-base Finance Team to ensure the appropriate application of organisational policies and procedures across the region and the accuracy of the data recorded.

The requirements We are looking for an experienced finance professional with strong self motivational skills and a very high attention to detail. You should be well versed in the field of Financial Accounting and be able to demonstrate a highly organised and participatory way of working. Committed to gender and diversity issues, you’ll have outstanding written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to simplify complex concepts both verbally and orally in order to influence others. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
