Applications are invited for the full-time position of Lecturer in Food Science (Sensory Science). The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching and research. They will have responsibility for teaching Sensory Science, and will contribute to teaching in other courses depending on particular interests. An appointment at Senior Lecturer level will be considered for a particularly well-qualified applicant.

Candidates should have a PhD degree in Sensory Science; a sound publication record; sensory science training across the full range of sensory science methods; experience in the management of a sensory laboratory including panel training; and food industry or food research experience including applications of sensory science to food-related problems. It would also be beneficial if candidates have some experience in flavour analyses, and in methods of correlating sensory and flavour analyses data. The successful candidate will be expected to work co-operatively with other staff in co-ordinating research and teaching programmes.
