Maintenance Reliability Engineer United States-Nevada-Goldstrike
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: Lead and bring to completion root cause failure analysis on critical component failures for large open pit mining equipment fleet, including haul trucks, electric and hydraulic shovels, front end loaders, blast hole drills and support equipment fleet. Assemble failure analysis teams and conduct analysis teams and conduct analysis. Work with maintenance management, maintenance planners and supervision, PdM and other maintenance technicians, supply chain, mine operations, mine engineering and vendors to implement corrective actions (with ongoing audits) to prevent recurrence of component failures. Work with TEAM program members in analyzing machine performance data and generating quality ideas to advance the divisional Total Productive Maintenance program by improving overall equipment reliability. Assist with other maintenance fundamental initiatives that comprise the department’s reliability strategy, including contamination control, condition-based monitoring, maintenance cost containment and continued optimization of preventive maintenance programs. Assist with development and rollout of departmental, site, regional and corporate reliability improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing. Complete other duties as assigned.
SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, mining, industrial, etc.) with a minimum of four years mining or related experience required.
• Qualified as or have desire to become Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional preferred.
• Proficiency in root cause failure analysis techniques and failure modes effects analysis (and software) required.
• Experience in use of Lean tools, Six Sigma or other business improvement tools preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and Oracle software preferred.
• Excellent leadership ability required.
• Proven safe work record required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
