Sr.Mine Planning Engineer Canada-Ontario-Toronto

Project Development

  • Lead / Participate in the preparation of Project Mine plans, including:
  • Project mine design
  • Maintain existing financial models on mining projects
  • Maintenance of cost curves and equipment database
  • Supervise consultants as required
  • Ensure study reports are produced to acceptable Barrick standards.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining)
  • The successful applicant must have;
  • Extensive technical experience in mine planning (Whittle, Datamine, Vulcan, XERAS)
  • Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Strong cost estimation background that has been used in financial forecasts for operating mines
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
The applicant should also be a self-starter who enjoys a fast paced and results oriented environment. As well, the applicant must have a proven ability to work with a great deal of confidential information / projects and maintain absolute discretion. Although this position reports into the Santiago office, the applicant must be willing and able to travel worldwide.
